Professor Jungpil Hahn is an assistant professor of management at the Krannert Graduate School of Management at Purdue University where he teaches Management Information Systems (MIS) related topics. He received his Bachelors and Masters in Business Administration from Yonsei University in Seoul, Korea; and his PhD from the Curtis L. Carlson School of Management at the Univeristy of Minnesota.

Professor Hahn joined the Krannert faculty in Fall of 2003. His primary teaching interests include systems analysis and design, knowledge management, and IT infrastructure. His current research interests include electronic commerce, human-computer interaction, systems design and knowledge management. His research has appeared in such journals as Information Systems Research, ACM Transactions on Computer-Human Interaction, Electronic Markets and Theoretical Issues in Ergonomics Science. He has also presented his research at leading academic conferences such as the International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS), the Hawaii International Conference on System Sciences (HICSS), the ACM Conferences on Human Factors in Computing Systems (CHI), the Conference of the Productions and Operations Management Society (POMS), the Conference of the Cognitive Sciences Society (CogSci), the Workshop on Information Systems and Economics (WISE), the Workshop on Information Technology and Systems (WITS), and the Workshop on HCI Research in MIS (AIS SIGHCI).

Professor Jungpil Hahn has been recognized for his research, teaching and academic service. In 1995, he received the Best Paper Award from the Korean Operations Research and Management Science Society for his paper entitled “An Evaluation Structure and Criteria of Workflow Managment Systems for Business Process Reengineering (co-authors: Yongwoo Kim, Jinwoo Kim, Jae Yun Moon, Chulbum Chung)”. In 2001/2002, he received a Dissertation Fellowship from the Carlson School of Management and was a finalist for the Juran Center for Quality Fellowship Program. He was recognized as an Outstanding Reviewer by IEEE Internet Computing in 2002. In 2003, He was awarded the Excellence in Teaching Award from the PhD Program at the Carlson School of Management. He was also recognized as a Krannert Distinguished Teacher in the MBA program at the Krannert School.
